WSI Announces the Winners of Third Annual WSI Web Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada

The WSI Web Awards, which were distributed in the categories of Best Product Showcase, Best Industry Application, Creative Excellence, Best WSI Business Edge Site, Best Non-English Site, Best Overall Website and Best Landing Page/Microsite, recognizes WSI’s Internet Marketing Consultants for their outstanding expertise in providing leading edge Internet solutions to their local SMB market.

The Best Product Showcase award was given to WSI Consultant Mehboob Janmohamed and the WSI eMarketplace Production Center, Infolink for www.GollyGeezBaby.com. This online store, which offers products for babies, toddlers and young parents, uses tasteful images and consistent organization of products.

The Creative Excellence award was presented to WSI Consultant Doug Fowler and the eMarketplace Production Center, Vidushi InfoTech for www.CompassLuxuryHomes.com. Its attractive Flash design coupled with the effective use of classic colors and images showcases excellence in branding, layout and aesthetics.

The award for best WSI Business Edge site was given to WSI Consultant David Duncan and the Production Center, Aiyra Technologies for www.skylinewhitespace.com. This sleek and professional site was recognized for being the most creative and innovative site designed using the WSI Business Edge platform, a standardized solution within WSI’s trademarked Modular Development Technology™.

The winners of the Best Non-English website were WSI Consultant Tim Pellens and the Production Center, Global Web Solutions for www.babymax.com. This exemplary website was designed for a Dutch speaking audience and shows excellence in originality, easy of use and innovation.

The Best Industry Application award was given to WSI Consultant Husam Jandel and the Production Center, Voloper Creations Inc. for www.i-segway.com. This well-designed website conveys Segway PT’s products in the transportation and sports sector. Husam and Voloper Creations were also the recipients of the Best Overall Website award, as the site was an outstanding example that demonstrates best of class creative, layout, functionality, and client- and industry-focused best practices.

This year, WSI introduced a seventh award category called Best Landing Page/Microsite and recognized WSI Consultant Keith Haggerty and the WSI Solution Center, M3 Productions for developing www.wickedbootique.com. This landing page is an exceptional representation of creative excellence and effectively demonstrates the company’s purpose.

WSI introduced the WSI Web Awards in 2006 to showcase the very best of thousands of the Internet solutions created each year by WSI Consultants in their local markets around the world. Several hundred sites were submitted by Consultants to be considered for the 2008 WSI Web Awards. Each site was scored and ranked by a team of site auditors from the WSI head office, who created a short list of the top sites, resulting in 35 nominations. Sites were then voted on by the global community of 1500 plus WSI Consultants to determine the winners in the 7 categories, including Best Industry Application, Best Product Showcase, Creative Excellence, Best Non-English Site, Best Business Edge Site, Best Overall Website and Best Landing Page/Microsite.
