The 2011 WWA Wave Review Award was presented to Ron Haggerty at the awards ceremony on October 5, 2011 and the site built for Gulf Islands Waterpark was recognized for being the Best Website within its attendance category. The website was highly praised for its ability to drive season pass and ticket sales online as well as attracting visitors to the water park’s various social media platforms. The website was selected among hundreds of other water park from around the world. WSI also manages Gulf Islands Waterpark’s social media activities for which they won the 2010 WWA Wave Review Award for the Best Social Media Campaign.
